The city of Gothenburg, Sweden, plans to radically decrease climate impact from new construction and renovation of buildings. The goal is to decrease climate impact by 50 % to 2025 and by 90 % to 2030 (base year 2020)
The city has already come a long way in finding climate neutral solutions. However, a critical area where many new solutions are sought, is technical installation products and systems in buildings. Therefore, in this online matchmaking, we look for technical installations and systems with a low climate impact from the product stage (low emissions from the operational phase are assumed).
Who can join?
We invite two categories of companies to the digital Meet the buyer event:
- Companies, start-ups, research organisations and universities with relevant solutions and with an interest to do business in Gothenburg, Sweden
- Swedish companies that have joined Gothenburg’s platform for climate neutral buildings and who plan to implement new technical installations in buildings (property owners, builders, architects, technical consultants etc.)
Why participate?
After the online Meet the buyer event, companies with interesting solutions for Gothenburg, will be selected to participate in one-to-one onsite meetings with property owners and builders in Gothenburg, on October 11, 2023.
What are we looking for?
We look for products & systems with the following features:
- Decreased climate impact from the product stage (A1-A3 in LCA) by at least 50 %
- High recycled content
- Reused products
- High proportion of bio-based material
- Circular services, e.g. restoration/upgrading of installation products (toilet seats and sinks, lighting fixtures, etc.)
Products and systems within the following categories are sought:

- Electrical systems incl. cables, cabinets, cable cover etc.

We look for the following customer readiness level :
- CRL 9 Widespread product sales that scale
- CRL 8 First products sold and increased structured sales efforts
- CRL 7 Customers in extended product testing or first test sales
- CRL 6 Benefits of the product confirmed through partnerships or first customer testing
